Love
Some people have asked about the title of my blog. While there are several reasons why I chose "Never Give Up", one of the most important reasons is my husband. Most of you know this is not my first marriage, but it is certainly the very best! We've been together 16 years, and will celebrate 15 years of marriage on December 14. What a wonderful ride it has been. I'm so thankful I didn't give up on finding love. Thank you, Jim, for all the wonderful memories, the hilarious laughter, and the fun times we've shared. I'm looking forward to many, many more wonderful times ahead. I love you.

Here's a picture of one of the mother's and her filly. These two always run to greet me when I come to feed them. They are pretty friendly, but don't really want to be touched. The mother is very protective of her little one.
I'm really enjoying feeding them, and getting to know their little habits. One of the filly's always runs and bucks when I come to feed. She gets so excited! One day she almost ran into the post in her pen. The weather is changing now, and it will soon be cold and rainy. I still look forward everyday to visiting my ladies.

Horses
One of my all time dreams has been to raise horses. Some friends of ours have a small ranch about 7 miles from their home where they keep broodmares and their babies.
For the past few weeks I have had the privlege of visiting and feeding these mothers and babies every day. I have a key to get in the gate, and I feed and check water every day. There are two fillies (female baby) and one stud colt (male baby), and the mothers are very protective.
After I carry the hay to each pen, I spend a little time visiting with the mothers and watching the little ones eat and play. It's like a dream come true! Ownership was never really my thing; just being able to watch them grow and develop is the greatest experience. Thank you so much to our friends!
